Karen Mruk, LCSW
I have known Karen Mruk for 15 years, first as a student and now as a colleague. Her work, which stresses life change based on deep knowledge of oneself and one’s relationships, has always been of the highest quality.
I know her to be sensitive, highly intelligent and honest. It is a
pleasure to recommend her as an outstanding psychotherapist.

I am a psychotherapist in private practice and I’d like to welcome you to my website. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and how I work. My office is centrally located in Midtown Manhattan just a few blocks from Madison Square Park.

I have over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and groups. I work with older adolescents and adults and see people in both individual and couples therapy. As a former actor a significant part of my practice consists of actors and other creative people. I also teach, lead workshops, and supervise other therapists.

Some issues I have experience working with are depression, anxiety, adult survivors of sexual abuse, coming out, life and career transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and bereavement among others.

I hope, as you read on and learn more about my psychotherapy practice and the way I work with patients, that you will feel comfortable enough to contact me and find not only relief from debilitating symptoms but begin a unique journey to self understanding.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you
