Education and Training
1994 Master of Social Work – Hunter College School of Social Work – New York, NY

2004 Certificate in Psychoanalysis – Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center, New York, NY

As a psychotherapist I attend conferences, continuing education courses and workshops; they focus on many different areas and specialties such as addictions, life coaching, sexual abuse, and the treatment of depression and anxiety.

Professional Experience
For 10 years I worked at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services–Madeline Borg Outpatient Clinic where I treated patients with a wide range of issues and mental illnesses in both short- and long-term therapy. Many of the patients I worked with had severe and debilitating mental illnesses and that experience gave me the grounding and confidence to do the work I do today. At the Jewish Board I was also a Clinical Supervisor and ran and presented clinical case conferences.

Some of my other clinical experience includes group facilitator and ER advocate at Mt. Sinai’s Rape Crisis Intervention Program where I worked exclusively with sexual abuse and rape survivors. At the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services I was coordinator of the Rape Crisis Intervention Program for several years. These opportunities contributed to the extensive experience I have working with adult survivors of sexual abuse in my private practice.

I have been in private practice since 1996 where I see patients in individual, couples and group therapy. I also supervise other therapists.

I am on the faculty of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center where I teach, supervise and am a training analyst to psychoanalytic candidates. From 2009-2011 I was Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center's Executive Director. I was also a member of their Executive Committee and created and chaired the Supervision for New Clinicians Program and chaired the Student Colloquiums - mini conferences held four times a year.

I am on the faculty of the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College where I teach Clinical Practice at the Master's level.
